Long before I became a financial advisor, I was fascinated by money and the decisions people make around it.
As a kid I watched intelligent, hardworking people experience very different financial outcomes, often not because of how much they earned, but because of the choices they made along the way. That curiosity led me to study Business Management and Economics at Northwood University, where I also met my wife, one of the best decisions of my life.
What began as an interest eventually became a calling.
More than a decade ago, I entered the financial services profession with a desire to help people navigate important financial decisions with greater clarity and confidence. Today, as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and cofounder of EDM Financial Advisors, I work with individuals and families who want a trusted guide to help them make sense of an increasingly complex financial world.
Over the years, I have learned that financial planning is rarely about money alone. Behind every financial decision is a family, a responsibility, an opportunity, or a concern that deserves thoughtful consideration.
My role is not to make financial matters more complicated. It is to help simplify them.
Whether we are discussing retirement, taxes, investments, insurance, estate planning, or a major life transition, my goal is to help clients understand their options and move forward with confidence.
Those who know me well understand that financial planning is more than a profession for me. It has been a lifelong interest. I am continually learning, studying, and looking for better ways to help the people we serve.
When I am not working with clients, you will likely find me spending time with my wife and daughter, tending a garden, visiting historical sites, or cheering on the Detroit Tigers.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside the individuals and families we serve and help them make decisions that support what matters most in their lives.
